David is a founding partner and has over 20 years of management consulting and real estate industry experience. He leads the firm’s management team, directing operations, financial strategy, and identifying business development opportunities across the company. A market leader in the Federal Government real estate arena, David is also the co-manager of the firm’s brokerage platform and has been instrumental in building a best-in-class brokerage team that is exclusively focused on government sector real estate opportunities. From a transactional standpoint, David provides strategic guidance and creative solutions to clients faced with complex government real estate contract/lease negotiations and asset management engagements. Over the course of his career, David has been involved in the leasing, development, sale, and financing of more than 10 million square feet of space across the country. Before founding FD Stonewater, he served as a Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle’s (Spaulding & Slye) Government Investor Services group in Washington, DC.
Monika joins the firm’s growing team as a Research Analyst and supports the firm’s deal sourcing, opportunity identification, and research efforts across all platforms, with a focus on brokerage and development. She is a recent graduate and brings an impressive data management and research skillset, spending the last year working on a contract with the U.S. Department of Energy conducting energy information analysis on more than 10,000 power plants. At FD Stonewater, Monika assists with all research initiatives and works with each team to leverage industry tools and deal sourcing platforms to identify new transactional and business opportunities.
Wolf joins FD Stonewater after spending the last four years as Owner’s Representative for Real Estate and Construction at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. In this role he developed and managed healthcare renovation projects within the hospital, medical office building, and off-site properties, and led projects from initial conception through design, permitting, construction, and close-out. As a key member of the FD Stonewater development team, Wolf draws on his specialized healthcare real estate expertise to provide technical guidance on development and construction management projects.
Michael joins FD Stonewater’s Development team as Development Associate and comes to the firm with several years of project management experience at Clark Construction Group. His thorough knowledge of the construction process and management expertise underpins his development position here at FD Stonewater, as he plays an active role in project oversight and technical guidance for all aspects of project team activities. In addition to project leadership, Michael is responsible for establishing project priorities and managing administrative tasks to ensure successful project delivery.
Christie is an Asset Manager at the firm with the responsibility of creating value for our principal investments. Currently, Christie oversees the daily operations of the firm’s largest government services contract including customer relations, facility management, staff oversight, and all financial and administrative aspects of the contract. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Christie was a General Manager at JLL responsible for a commercial portfolio of over 700,000 square feet.
Dave joins the investment and asset management team after spending the past seven years in investment banking and corporate finance. Prior to joining the firm, Dave was an Investment Banking Associate at Baird where he was involved in providing capital raising and advisory services for various types of real estate organizations. Prior to Baird, he worked at the Inter-American Development Bank where he syndicated loans to Latin American businesses and institutions. Dave brings a unique and valuable perspective to the firm’s investment and asset management team and plays key role in executing the firm’s investment strategies.
Joe is a founding partner and an established leader in the real estate industry, with over 30 years of leasing, development, and investment management experience. Joe began his career with the General Services Administration (GSA) eventually moving to Spaulding & Slye where he was soon elevated to a partner in the firm. When Spaulding & Slye was acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), he was named International Director and Managing Director of JLL’s Government Investor Services group. The depth and breadth of Joe’s GSA deal experience is greater than any other broker in the business. Over the course of his career, Joe has led countless teams on thousands of lease transactions, development or construction consulting projects, as well as financing, acquisition, and disposition assignments. He has successfully completed nearly 4,000 lease transactions totaling more than 45 million square feet on behalf of landlords and tenants across the country. Today, Joe is a key part of the firm’s leadership team and brings a tremendous level of knowledge and technical expertise to the firm’s brokerage, investment, and development platforms where he focuses exclusively on providing strategic solutions and advising clients on transacting business with the Federal Government. He is also instrumental in the firm’s continuing education efforts and mentorship programs.
Ben is an industry veteran and brings extensive development and construction management experience to the firm’s development platform. His experience in the construction and development arena for specialized government-leased facilities, high-security federal facilities, data centers, and urban office space is a vital asset to the firm, as he has managed base building and tenant improvements for nearly 2 million square feet totaling more than $500 million. As Principal and Director of Development, Ben actively manages the firm’s principal development projects and third-party construction management engagements and is responsible for the development strategy, financial structuring, and active management of all projects in his portfolio. Ben has played an integral role in several of the firm’s specialized, mission-critical projects across the country, including facilities for the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Ben was an Assistant Project Manager at HITT Contracting, Inc., where he supported and managed projects totaling over $300 million.
As a Managing Director at FD Stonewater, Norman plays a leading role within our third-party advisory and principal development platforms with a primary focus on Federal Government transactions. As the former Commissioner for the United States General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Norman led the asset management, design, construction, leasing, building management, and disposal of nearly 374 million square feet of government-owned and leased space across all 50 states, six U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia. He has a distinguished history working in both the private sector and as a government executive.
Patrick serves as in-house general counsel for FD Stonewater. His background is in project development, construction, and finance, with significant experience in general commercial matters and civil litigation. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Patrick worked for over 10 years as an associate at top-tier law firms and as senior in-house counsel for a publicly traded company. Patrick provides invaluable insight on commercial real estate transactions and legal matters.
Yumi joins FD Stonewater as an Associate supporting the firm’s investment and asset management team. She comes to the firm with several years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with a focus on operations management, finance, and investment banking. Prior to joining the firm, she was an Asset Manager at a global real estate developer and operator for flagship shopping centers in Los Angeles, where she developed key leasing and development action plans to execute new business opportunities for portfolio assets. Yumi is a key member of the asset management team and provides operating management support, financial and feasibility analysis, and transaction oversight.
As Principal and Director of Brokerage, Chad spearheads the firm’s landlord advisory practice, focusing on highly-complex government real estate transactions in the Washington, DC, region and across the country. He has spent more than 15 years in the government real estate sector, beginning his career with the U.S. Department of Justice facilities team and then co-leading regional GSA National Brokerage Contract teams at JLL and CBRE before joining FD Stonewater. He is an expert in federal real estate policy, processes, and evaluation practices and provides strategic guidance to our clients in the pursuit of government lease transactions and investments. Chad has earned CoStar Power Broker honors and was recognized as the Top Regional GSA Leasing Agent at the 2019 CREBA Awards.
Griffin joins FD Stonewater as a Development Associate. Prior to joining our team, he was a Project Engineer at Clark Construction where he supported several large-scale projects, each valued at over $50 million, from preconstruction through completion and quality assurance. Griffin’s engineering, construction, and architecture background reinforces his project oversight and technical abilities as he assists with all aspects of the development process and supports the firm’s expanding development pipeline.
Heather is a Vice President and brings extensive development experience overseeing all aspects of the development process for mixed-use, residential, office, retail and hotel projects in urban environments having managed new construction, base building renovations and tenant improvements of more than 2.8 million square feet of space in excess of $650 million. She has over 10 years of professional experience in commercial real estate development and asset management. At FD Stonewater, Heather provides project management leadership and oversight for development projects around the country.
Nick joins the team in a new role, working with the brokerage, development, and research teams to identify and generate new opportunities primarily in the state and municipal government arenas. He comes to the firm with over 15 years of experience as a marketing executive and entrepreneur having founded his own social media and online marketing research business. Nick actively utilizes his extensive business acumen and B2B experience to support the firm’s business development efforts by identifying new opportunities within the government real estate arena.
Mike is a Development Manager with FD Stonewater. Before transitioning to the firm’s federal development and construction management team, Mike was employed by one of the firm’s investment businesses which focused on high-end residential infill development projects in Northern Virginia. Prior to that, he managed high-volume residential development projects for a prominent national builder. Mike brings a wide range of construction expertise and project management experiences to the team and is an integral part of the firm’s growing development platform.
Katherine is the firm’s Research Manager and is responsible for all research and data management efforts across the firm’s multiple platforms. Her primary focus is conducting market research and tracking deals in the market, while maintaining current, real-time reports and data to support the firm’s leasing and development efforts in the government real estate arena. She has been instrumental in developing internal tracking systems to streamline the leasing pursuit process and leveraging industry tools and deal sourcing platforms. Katherine is responsible for tracking and vetting potential federal and state government deals across the country and also provides support during the proposal production process.
Tim Lenahan joined FD Stonewater in January 2017, bringing nearly 15 years of experience in the government real estate sector to advising the firm’s third-party landlord clients on transacting business with government entities. Additionally, Tim’s expertise will support the company’s own principal development arena. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Tim was a First Vice President of CBRE’s Federal Lessor Advisory Group. Tim’s relationships and knowledge of the complexities of public sector real estate transactions make him an invaluable asset to the team and our clients.
Stephen holds a unique dual role at FD Stonewater, as both an Investment Associate and as the firm’s Strategic Planning, Operations, and Finance Specialist. In his investment capacity, Stephen supports the investment, asset management, and development platforms to efficiently identify, underwrite, and structure real estate investment opportunities. In his strategy, operations and finance capacity, Stephen supports the firm’s COO/CFO management functions through strategic business planning, financial analysis, and reporting across the company’s multiple platforms. Prior to joining the firm, Stephen spent four years at FTI Consulting with engagement experience in financial restructuring, bankruptcy, M&A and litigation.
Richard Mann is a founding partner of FD Stonewater and brings over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate. He is charged with strategic and transactional leadership for many of the firm’s development, brokerage, and investment projects. His vast experience is utilized in a wide range of capacities, including Federal Government development, leasing, and investment pursuits, as well as in the structuring, acquisition, and capitalization of many of the firm’s investment and development projects. Richard is a recognized leader in the Federal Government real estate arena who brings invaluable insight into the process, politics, and strategy of federal real estate transactions. Much of Richard’s experience involves the new development of complex secure facilities to house members of the U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense. He has completed over 500 transactions totaling more than 16 million square feet.
André joins FD Stonewater as a Development Manager after spending the last 10 years in development and managing a variety of high-profile projects. Most recently, he served as Senior Project Manager at KGO Project Management, where he was directly responsible for the management and coordination of projects totaling over 1 million square feet and valued at more than $200 million. As a key member of the FD Stonewater development and construction management team, André brings tremendous project management experience and plays an active role in development project oversight and technical guidance for the firm’s expanding project pipeline.
Natalie joins FD Stonewater as Marketing Coordinator and supports our marketing and operations teams. She is a recent graduate and brings an impressive digital marketing and communications skillset. Before joining our team, Natalie was a Marketing Intern at HITT Contracting, where she gained extensive knowledge of the real estate industry, social media, and communication planning. Natalie’s various certifications in Google Analytics, social media marketing, and email marketing make her a great asset to the team.
Kathryn joined FD Stonewater as Marketing Director and manages all marketing and communication initiatives across the firm’s business lines. After spending several years in the commercial real estate, architecture, and workplace industry, she is keenly aware of the complexities of the changing workplace and knowledgeable of the challenges that businesses, tenants, and landlords face. Kathryn brings a unique perspective to the firm and is well-versed in business development strategy and tactics, brand management, and public relations.
Rita recently joined the firm as Controller and brings a diverse background in finance, accounting, and operations. She has over 20 years of accounting experience, last serving as the Controller/CFO of a mid-sized real estate development and management company. Prior to that, she was the Director of Accounting, Worldwide Operations for Feld Entertainment, the world’s largest live family entertainment company. Rita leads the firm’s accounting department, developing internal controls, policies, and procedures, while managing the financial reporting and planning for the firm.
Dyer joins FD Stonewater after spending the last several years in the construction industry. Prior to joining the firm, Dyer was a Superintendent with Clark Construction in Houston, where he was directly responsible for the day to day management of subcontractor teams to ensure successful project delivery. As a key member of the FD Stonewater development team, Dyer plays an active role in project oversight and technical guidance for all aspects of project team activities.
Andrew is a principal and co-leads the firm’s Investment and Asset Management team, focusing primarily on capital structuring and identifying acquisition opportunities within the firm’s targeted investment strategies. He brings nearly 15 years of experience in commercial real estate and has spent his entire career in investment management and brokerage. Andrew has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s investment activities and launched the firm’s Private Capital Investment Program in 2014. While at FD Stonewater, he has been directly involved in over 5 million square feet of deals around the country, totaling over $700 million in value. Andrew began his career at Spaulding & Slye (acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle) with the tenant representation group, and then went on to co-found Jabber Five, a real estate investment company based in Baltimore, before joining FD Stonewater.
Todd is the firm’s Office and Operations Manager and comes to the firm with over 20 years of administrative, operations, and management experience. He has spent nearly his entire career in the commercial real estate industry and has partnered with some of the most successful brokerage and leasing teams in the industry. At FD Stonewater, Todd is responsible for managing the daily operations and activities as well as ensuring the efficiency of internal teams such as IT, human resources, and accounts payable. He also supports new business pursuits and marketing initiatives across all platforms.
Harmony joins the firm’s legal team with an impressive resume demonstrating tremendous expertise in commercial real estate transactions. She has spent more than a decade in the commercial real estate industry and is proficient in all facets of commercial real estate contracts and agreements. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, she was a partner with Kutak Rock in their real estate practice. Before that, Harmony was a real estate associate at Perkins Coie. Harmony’s practice is based on commercial, retail, and industrial leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions.
Eugene is a Managing Director at FD Stonewater and a career Federal Government real estate professional, bringing over 25 years of commercial real estate experience to the firm. Eugene spent time at GSA as both a GSA Leasing Specialist for the National Capitol Region and as a GSA Asset Manager for GSA Region 9. Eugene left the government to focus on representing landlords. Prior to joining FD Stonewater in 2012, Eugene lead the federal real estate brokerage practices at both Transwestern and Lincoln Property Company.
Bucky is a Development Associate and joined FD Stonewater after beginning his career with JLL’s Tenant Representation Brokerage group, where he was responsible for identifying and prospecting new business opportunities. At FD Stonewater, Bucky plays an integral role in the pre-development process, conducting market research and tracking potential development deals around the country. He is also involved in development project activities and project coordination.
Leigh Anna Sotdorus joins FD Stonewater’s leasing platform as a Vice President of Leasing. She comes to FD Stonewater from CBRE, where she was a Senior Transaction Manager for CBRE’s broker contracts with the General Services Administration (GSA). Leigh Anna also participated on the National Broker Contracts and Government Lease Services contract with the GSA. During her decade-long tenure, Leigh Anna worked on over 145 federal transactions comprising more than 4 million square feet. She was responsible for the lease procurement process, from requirements development through lease award, and worked closely with GSA contracting officers and tenant agencies. Leigh Anna was also a co-manager for Operational Excellence on the team and a Regional Lead in Regions 3 and 5. Leigh Anna’s prior experience includes marketing and underwriting acquisition and development projects to seek and compete financing opportunities. She brings a tremendous level of expertise to our owner representative/advisory leasing platform and will be instrumental in advising our clients in government leasing scenarios.
Dave is a founding partner and brings over 20 years of real estate experience in both principal/ownership and advisory capacities, spending time at Citigroup and Eastdil before co-founding FD Stonewater. He co-leads the firm’s investment and asset management platforms and has participated in more than $3 billion of acquisitions, strategic advisory, and investment banking transactions throughout his career. Dave holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Carleton College. He serves on the board of the GiveLove non-profit, organizes a local adult soccer group and an annual fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity in his hometown, plays in the world’s largest trivia contest in April each year, and attends as many Green Bay Packer games as his wife and daughter will allow.
Jeff is a founding partner and a leader in the firm’s investment and asset management platforms. He has an extensive background in principal investing, fund management, asset management, real estate investment banking, and capital markets. Over the past two decades, Jeff has completed over $7 billion of acquisitions, direct sales, and financings. He has also managed three principal investment funds and three joint ventures through which he acquired and managed more than $200 million of office, industrial, retail, and hospitality properties. Jeff focuses his entrepreneurial energies on creating value from every angle of a transaction, including property operations, leasing, portfolio risk management, and capital markets execution. He is a recognized expert in managing complicated real estate investments and successfully structuring complex deals.
Arthur is a resourceful and proactive accounting professional with over seven years of experience in the hospitality and real estate industry. He is skilled and proficient in a wide range of accounting/financial functions, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) guidelines, journal entry preparations, general ledger, payroll reconciliations, budgeting, and financial statement preparation and reporting. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Arthur was a Property Accountant with Bozzuto Management.
Claiborne is a founding partner and serves as the head of development and construction management at FD Stonewater. He is responsible for establishing development platform strategy, financial structuring, and business development initiatives for federal, state, and local government development opportunities. He manages all principal-owned development projects and third-party construction management projects in the firm’s growing portfolio. Claiborne has led the completion of several high profile, mission-critical projects for Federal Government agencies across the country including the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has also completed numerous private sector development projects.
