As a Vice President at FD Stonewater, Katherine works with multiple teams across the firm and is primarily responsible for identifying, vetting, and pursuing federal, state, and local government deals across the country for our development platform. She plays an instrumental role in research, site acquisition, and proposal production process for these pursuits. Additionally, she guides our landlord clients through federal and state government real estate processes, policies, and evaluation methodologies. With her background in research, Katherine helps advise our research team in the formation of strategy, development of internal tracking systems, and identification of new data sources. She earned her B.S. in Economics from the College of Charleston. Katherine studied and lived in China for six months and can order bubble tea in Chinese.

As a Development Manager at FD Stonewater, Daniel assists with all aspects of the development process, including supporting the firm’s expanding development pipeline. Prior to joining the firm, Daniel was a Project Engineer at Clark Construction Group where he supported multiple projects, including being the lead supervisor of all exterior contractors for a dorm renovation at George Washington University. Daniel earned his B.S.E in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan and founded Everything Is Futbol, a soccer website and social media account with a strong following.

David is a founding partner and has over 20 years of management consulting and real estate industry experience. He leads the firm’s management team, directing operations, financial strategy, and identifying business development opportunities across the company. David is also the co-manager of the firm’s brokerage platform and has been instrumental in building a best-in-class brokerage team. From a transactional standpoint, David provides strategic guidance and creative solutions to clients faced with complex real estate contract/lease negotiations and asset management engagements. Over the course of his career, David has been involved in the leasing, development, sale, and financing of more than 10 million square feet of space across the country. Before founding FD Stonewater, he served as a Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle’s (Spaulding & Slye) Government Investor Services group in Washington, DC.
David earned his B.A. in International Relations from James Madison University and later his MBA at the University of Maryland. David has been actively involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors, including March of Dimes, Heart’s Cry Ministry and Washington Jesuit Academy. David lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and two daughters. He values spending time with his family and friends often while golfing, skiing, traveling or sitting for a great meal.

As a Senior Associate at FD Stonewater, Monika supports the firm’s government real estate advisory and the development platforms. Applying an impressive data management skillset, she leads all cross-platform research initiatives to identify and manage targeted business development opportunities. Her diverse business acumen spans across multiple platforms with experience in internal process improvement, proposal execution, and in-depth market research and data analysis. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Monika spent a year working on a contract with the U.S. Department of Energy – Energy Information Administration conducting powerplant data collection and analysis supporting more than 10,000 annual surveys.

As a Development Associate at FD Stonewater, Lizzy assists with all aspects of the development process and supports the firm’s expanding principal development and third-party construction management pipeline. Lizzy joined FD Stonewater from Urban Atlantic, a real estate development company with $3 billion in development and acquisitions. While at Urban Atlantic, she was responsible for various development functions for the company’s large scale mixed-use and multifamily projects. Prior to Urban Atlantic, she worked for MainStreet Property Group, a multifamily real estate development company. Lizzy earned her MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business as well as a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

As a Senior Development Manager at FD Stonewater, Wolf provides technical guidance on development and construction management projects. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, he was an Owner’s Representative for Real Estate and Construction at Sibley Memorial Hospital where he developed and managed healthcare renovation projects within the hospital and led projects from initial conception through design, permitting, construction, and close-out. He earned his B.B.A from Emory University and later his MBA at John Hopkins University. Wolf lives in Washington DC and is an avid Baltimore Ravens fan.

As Principal and Director of Asset Management at FD Stonewater, Owen is responsible for the strategy and performance of the firm’s national office and industrial properties portfolio. His primary responsibilities include managing property operations, lease negotiations, dispositions, and investor reporting for the firm’s principal-owned assets. While at FD Stonewater, Owen has been integral in overall portfolio growth and has been involved with over 5 million square feet and $900 million of assets under management. Owen brings over 15 years of experience in real estate finance and law, as well as an extensive background in asset management, distressed loan resolution, lease negotiation, and loan structuring. Owen earned his B.S. in Finance at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and later his J.D. in Law at George Mason University.

As Vice President at FD Stonewater, Michael plays a key leadership role in project oversight and technical guidance across all aspects of project team activities. He is responsible for setting project priorities, managing administrative functions, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex real estate and construction projects. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Michael served as a Project Manager at Clark Construction, where he led various high-profile developments. He holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia. Outside of work, Michael is an active member of the local Knights of Columbus chapter and enjoys fly fishing, tennis, soccer, and cheering on UVA sports teams.

As an Associate Vice President at FD Stonewater, Dave brings a unique and valuable perspective to the firm’s investment and asset management team and plays a key role in executing the firm’s investment strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Dave was an Investment Banking Associate at Baird where he was involved in providing capital raising and advisory services for various types of real estate organizations. He earned his B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and later his MBA from Georgetown University. Dave enjoys playing soccer for a club team in DC and recently began coaching his twin daughters’ soccer team as well.

Joe is a founding partner and an established leader in the real estate industry, with over 35 years of leasing, development, and investment management experience. Joe is a key part of the firm’s leadership team and brings a tremendous level of knowledge and technical expertise to the firm’s brokerage, investment, and development platforms where he focuses on providing strategic solutions and advising clients on transacting business with Governmental entities. He is also instrumental in the firm’s continuing education efforts and mentorship programs. Joe began his career with the General Services Administration (GSA) eventually moving to Spaulding & Slye where he founded the firm’s government division and was soon elevated to a Partner in the firm. When Spaulding & Slye was acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), he was named International Director and Managing Director of JLL’s Government Investor Services group. The depth and breadth of Joe’s government deal experience is greater than any other broker in the business.

As Principal and Director of Development, Ben actively manages the firm’s principal development projects and third-party construction management engagements and is responsible for the development strategy, financial structuring, and active management of all projects in his portfolio. He brings over 15 years of commercial real estate experience and has played an integral role in several of the firm’s specialized, mission-critical projects across the country, including facilities for the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ben is an industry veteran and brings extensive development and construction management experience to the firm’s development platform. His experience in the construction and development arena for specialized government-leased facilities, high-security federal facilities, data centers, and urban office space is a vital asset to the firm, as he has managed base building and tenant improvements for nearly 3 million square feet totaling more than $800 million.

As a Partner at FD Stonewater, Norman plays a leading role within the firm’s third-party advisory and principal development platforms with a primary focus on federal, state and local government real estate transactions. As the former Commissioner of the GSA Public Buildings Service, Mr. Dong managed the nationwide asset management, design, construction, leasing, building management and disposal of approximately 372 million square feet of government-owned and leased space. In addition, Mr. Dong served as Acting Controller at Office of Management and Budget, where he was responsible for Federal real property management, and as Chief Financial Officer of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. In addition to his Federal experience, Mr. Dong has held leadership positions at the state and local levels of government, including Deputy Mayor for Operations and City Administrator for the District of Columbia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a Master’s degree from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.

As General Counsel at FD Stonewater, Pat focuses on all components of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, debt and equity financing, joint ventures, development and leasing. With nearly 20 years of experience, Pat has broad experience in areas beyond real estate transactions, including general commercial and corporate matters, project finance and civil litigation. Prior to joining FD Stonewater in 2016, Pat was an associate at Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher and Chadbourne and Parke in Los Angeles, and served as senior in-house counsel for Rentech, Inc., also in Los Angeles.

As Principal and Director of Brokerage, Chad spearheads the firm’s landlord advisory practice, focusing on highly-complex government real estate transactions in the Washington, DC, region and across the country. He has spent more than 15 years in the government real estate sector, beginning his career with the U.S. Department of Justice facilities team and then co-leading regional GSA National Brokerage Contract teams at JLL and CBRE before joining FD Stonewater. He is an expert in federal real estate policy, processes, and evaluation practices and provides strategic guidance to our clients in the pursuit of government lease transactions and investments. Chad has earned CoStar Power Broker honors and was recognized as the Top Regional GSA Leasing Agent at the 2019 CREBA Awards.

As a Senior Development Manager at FD Stonewater, Griffin has experience with a variety of asset classes, assisting with all aspects of the development process including supporting the firm’s expanding development pipeline. Prior to joining our team, he was a Project Engineer at Clark Construction where he supported several large-scale projects, each valued at over $50 million. Griffin earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University, developing a foundation of engineering, construction, architecture, and a passion for Cleveland sports.

As a Managing Director at FD Stonewater, Nick works with the brokerage, development, and research teams to identify and generate new opportunities in the industrial, state government, and municipal government sectors. He joined the firm with over 15 years of experience as a marketing executive and entrepreneur, having founded his own social media and online marketing research business working with top international brands and retailers. Nick supports the firm’s business development efforts by identifying opportunities across business practices through research and data analysis. Nick earned his B.A. in English and Comparative Literature from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and enjoys running, live music, and coaching his three children’s soccer teams.

As a Senior Development Manager at FD Stonewater Mike provides leadership, oversight, and technical guidance for a diverse range of development projects across the country. In addition, Mike manages project priorities and objectives to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Prior to joining FD Stonewater’s development team, Mike was a Project Manager for the firm’s residential real estate investment venture focused on high-end residential real estate opportunities in the Northern Virginia market. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, he managed high volume residential community projects for NVR Inc., one of the nation’s largest home builders, and Evergreene Homes, a prominent regional builder.
Mike earned a B.S. in Management and Finance from Salisbury University. He is an avid boater, meat smoker, hockey player and tortured DC sports fan. Mike lives in Alexandria VA with his wife and daughter who keeps him busy with dance, piano, and youth sports.

Richard is a founding partner of FD Stonewater and brings over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. Richard has played a major role in all development projects in the history of the company. His vast experience is utilized in a wide range of capacities, including government development and investment pursuits, as well as in the structuring, acquisition, and capitalization of many of the firm’s investment and development projects. A recognized leader in government real estate, Richard provides strategic and transactional leadership for many of the firm’s development and investment projects and brings invaluable insight into the process, politics, and strategy of government real estate transactions. He has completed over 500 transactions totaling more than 17 million square feet. Richard earned his B.S. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at FD Stonewater, Eduardo supports FD Stonewater’s acting COO and CFO with financial analysis and oversight, business planning, forecasting, and company management. He brings 25 years of financial operations, accounting, and business planning experience for organizations based in the U.S. and globally. Prior to joining the firm, Eduardo was the Director of Business and Finance at Nour Entertainment, SRL, where he provided business and financial guidance to the company’s leadership team and was instrumental in securing commitments from new investors. Prior to that, he was the Director of Business Operations for Feld Entertainment, the worldwide leader in producing and presenting live touring family entertainment experiences. Eduardo earned his BS in Business Administration from Pontificia Catholic University in Brazil and his MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and is a former performer for Disney on Ice.

As the Marketing Director for FD Stonewater, Kathryn leads all marketing and communication initiatives across the firm’s business lines. With more than 15+ years in the commercial real estate, architecture, engineering, and construction industry, Kathryn is an experienced professional services marketer and brings a unique perspective to the firm’s business development activities. She is skilled in business development strategy and corporate communications, proposal management, event production, and public relations. Kathryn earned her B.S. in Business Administration (Management) from Bucknell University, where she played Division I women’s basketball. She has volunteered her time and talent to coach high school girls’ basketball, her son’s CYO basketball team, and local Boys & Girls Club youth basketball teams and enjoys sharing her love of the game with young players.

As Vice President of Finance, Controller at FD Stonewater, Rita leads the firm’s accounting department, developing internal controls, policies, and procedures, while managing the financial reporting and planning for the firm. She brings a diverse background in finance, accounting, and operations. She has over 20 years of accounting experience, last serving as the Controller/CFO of a mid-sized real estate development and management company. Prior to that, she was the Director of Accounting, Worldwide Operations for Feld Entertainment, the world’s largest live family entertainment company.
Rita earned her B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and later her MBA from Virginia Tech. She enjoys traveling and supporting disaster relief, world food, and veteran’s association charities.

As a Development Manager at FD Stonewater, Dyer plays an active role in project oversight and technical guidance for all aspects of project team activities. Prior to joining the firm, Dyer was a Superintendent with Clark Construction, where he was directly responsible for the day-to-day management of subcontractor teams to ensure successful project delivery. Dyer earned his B.A. in History from the University of Georgia. He has been actively involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America and lives in Bethesda, Md with his wife and daughter.

Andrew is a principal and co-leads the firm’s investment and asset management team, focusing primarily on acquisitions, capital structuring, and strategy. He has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s investment activities and launched the firm’s Private Capital Investment Program in 2014. While at FD Stonewater, he has been directly involved in over 5 million square feet of investments around the country, totaling over $700 million in value. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Andrew worked as a broker at Spaulding & Slye (acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle), and then went on to co-found Jabber Five, a real estate investment company based in Baltimore. He has spent his entire professional career in the commercial real estate investment and advisory arenas where he brings over 15 years of experience. Andrew earned his B.S. in Marketing from the University of Maryland where he was a four-year letterman on the varsity lacrosse team. Later, he earned his M.S. in Real Estate Finance from John Hopkins University. Andrew resides in Washington, DC, where he enjoys adventuring with his wife and two daughters and live music.

As the firm’s Office and Senior Operations Manager, Todd is responsible for managing the daily operations and activities as well as ensuring the efficiency of internal teams such as IT, human resources, and accounts payable. He also supports new business pursuits and marketing initiatives across all platforms. In addition, he loves collecting art. He has over 20 years of administrative, operations, and management experience spending nearly his entire career in the commercial real estate industry, and has partnered with some of the industry’s most successful brokerage and leasing teams. Todd earned his B.A. Communication Studies from Penn State University and loves going to the gym, exploring new restaurants, watching all kinds of films, and traveling.

As General Counsel at FD Stonewater, Harmony brings an impressive resume demonstrating tremendous expertise in commercial real estate transactions. Her practice is based on commercial, retail, and industrial leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions. Harmony has spent more than a decade in the commercial real estate industry and is proficient in all facets of commercial real estate contracts and agreements. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, she was a partner with Kutak Rock in their real estate practice. Before that, Harmony was a real estate associate at Perkins Coie. She earned her B.F.A in Art History from the University of Kansas, M.A. in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University, and her J.D. from Arizona State University’s College of Law.

Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Leigh Anna was a Senior Transaction Manager for CBRE on the GSA National Brokerage Contract team. During her tenure on the broker contract, she completed more than 145 federal transactions comprising more than 4 million square feet. Leigh Anna is also experienced in marketing and underwriting acquisition and development projects to seek and compete financing opportunities. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Sewanee University. Leigh Anna lives in Richmond, Virginia and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband, son, daughter, and two sheepdogs.

He co-leads the firm’s investment and asset management platforms and has participated in more than $3 billion of acquisitions, strategic advisory, and investment banking transactions throughout his career. Dave holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Carleton College. He serves on the board of the GiveLove non-profit, organizes a local adult soccer group and an annual fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity in his hometown, plays in the world’s largest trivia contest in April each year, and attends as many Green Bay Packer games as his wife and daughter will allow.

Jeff is a founding partner and a leader in the firm’s investment and asset management platforms. He has an extensive background in principal investing, fund management, asset management, real estate investment banking, and capital markets. Jeff focuses his entrepreneurial energies on creating value from every angle of a transaction, including property operations, leasing, portfolio risk management, and capital markets execution. He is a recognized expert in managing complicated real estate investments and successfully structuring complex deals. With nearly 30 years of experience, Jeff has completed over $8 billion of acquisitions, direct sales, and financings. He has also managed three principal investment funds and three joint ventures through which he acquired and managed more than $1 billion of office, industrial, retail, and hospitality properties.
Jeff earned his B.A. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Michigan. Jeff is married with three boys and an English Golden Retriever. He is an avid baseball coach and has a son currently pitching for D1 baseball program Wagner College in NY.

Robert Weitzel joins FD Stonewater as an Associate Vice President on the Investment and Asset Management team. Rob is an accomplished asset management professional with an established track record of unlocking value and driving returns. He brings more than a decade of experience at prominent entrepreneurial and institutional real estate companies and has executed over $1.5 billion in successful transactions across property sectors. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Rob was a Regional Asset Manager with Rubenstein Partners and before that he was a Director of Asset Management at Tishman Speyer. Rob earned his MBA from The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He is a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross, where he earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics. In his spare time, Rob enjoys traveling, snow sports, spending time with friends and family, as well as eating and drinking his way across the greater Washington D.C. region.

Arthur is a resourceful and proactive accounting professional with over seven years of experience in the hospitality and real estate industry. He is skilled and proficient in a wide range of accounting/financial functions, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) guidelines, journal entry preparations, general ledger, payroll reconciliations, budgeting, and financial statement preparation and reporting. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Arthur was a Property Accountant with Bozzuto Management.
He earned his B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University. Arthur is an avid cyclist and cycles to raise money for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society annually.
