    As a Development Associate at FD Stonewater, Daniel assists with all aspects of the development process, including supporting the firm’s expanding development pipeline. Prior to joining the firm, Daniel was a Project Engineer at Clark Construction Group where he supported multiple projects, including being the lead supervisor of all exterior contractors for a dorm renovation at George Washington University. Daniel earned his B.S.E in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan and founded Everything Is Futbol, a soccer website and social media account with a strong following.

    David is a founding partner and has over 20 years of management consulting and real estate industry experience. He leads the firm’s management team, directing operations, financial strategy, and identifying business development opportunities across the company. David is also the co-manager of the firm’s brokerage platform and has been instrumental in building a best-in-class brokerage team. From a transactional standpoint, David provides strategic guidance and creative solutions to clients faced with complex real estate contract/lease negotiations and asset management engagements. Over the course of his career, David has been involved in the leasing, development, sale, and financing of more than 10 million square feet of space across the country. Before founding FD Stonewater, he served as a Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle’s (Spaulding & Slye) Government Investor Services group in Washington, DC.

    David earned his B.A. in International Relations from James Madison University and later his MBA at the University of Maryland. David has been actively involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors, including March of Dimes, Heart’s Cry Ministry and Washington Jesuit Academy. David lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and two daughters. He values spending time with his family and friends often while golfing, skiing, traveling or sitting for a great meal.

    As a Research Associate at FD Stonewater, Monika supports the firm’s deal sourcing, opportunity identification, and research efforts across all platforms. She brings an impressive data management and research skillset and supports the board of the Federal Real Property Association (FRPA) as an active member of their communications team. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Monika worked on a contract with the U.S. Department of Energy conducting energy information analysis on more than 10,000 power plants. Monika earned a B.A. in Government and International Politics from George Mason University. She speaks German, Croatian, and English, has visited twelve countries and enjoys hiking with her silver lab, Blue.

    As a Development Manager at FD Stonewater, Wolf provides technical guidance on development and construction management projects. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, he was an Owner’s Representative for Real Estate and Construction at Sibley Memorial Hospital where he developed and managed healthcare renovation projects within the hospital and led projects from initial conception through design, permitting, construction, and close-out. He earned his B.B.A from Emory University and later his MBA at John Hopkins University. Wolf lives in Washington DC and is an avid Baltimore Ravens fan.

    As Principal and Director of Asset Management at FD Stonewater, Owen is responsible for the strategy and performance of the firm’s national office and industrial properties portfolio. His primary responsibilities include managing property operations, lease negotiations, dispositions, and investor reporting for the firm’s principal-owned assets. While at FD Stonewater, Owen has been integral in overall portfolio growth and has been involved with over 5 million square feet and $900 million of assets under management. Owen brings over 15 years of experience in real estate finance and law, as well as an extensive background in asset management, distressed loan resolution, lease negotiation, and loan structuring. Owen earned his B.S. in Finance at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and later his J.D. in Law at George Mason University.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an Acquisitions Associate at Hackney Real Estate Partners, where his primary responsibilities included identifying and underwriting new investment opportunities for the firm’s third fund and analytical analyses for asset management initiatives. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia, where he played football during the 2011 season before joining the men’s varsity lacrosse team. In his free time, Thompson enjoys being active outdoors and spending time with family.

Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Michael was a Project Manager at Clark Construction. Michael earned his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the local Knights of Columbus chapter and enjoys fly fishing, tennis, soccer, and watching UVA sports.

    Christie is an Asset Manager at the firm responsible for creating value for our principal investments. Currently, Christie oversees the daily operations of the firm’s largest government services contract, including customer relations, facility management, staff oversight, and all financial and administrative aspects of the contract. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, she was a General Manager at JLL responsible for a commercial portfolio of over 700,000 square feet, which included the ice plex where the Washington Capitals practice, so she is an avid hockey fan. Christie earned her B.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Maryland and enjoys volunteering with grassroots women’s and children’s groups.

Prior to joining the firm, Dave was an Investment Banking Associate at Baird where he was involved in providing capital raising and advisory services for various types of real estate organizations.
    He earned his B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and later his MBA from Georgetown University. Dave enjoys playing soccer for a club team in DC and recently began coaching his twin daughters soccer team as well.

    Joe is a founding partner and an established leader in the real estate industry, with nearly 35 years of leasing, development, and investment management experience. Joe is a key part of the firm’s leadership team and brings a tremendous level of knowledge and technical expertise to the firm’s brokerage, investment, and development platforms where he focuses on providing strategic solutions and advising clients on transacting business with Governmental entities. He is also instrumental in the firm’s continuing education efforts and mentorship programs. Joe began his career with the General Services Administration (GSA) eventually moving to Spaulding & Slye where he founded the firm’s government division and was soon elevated to a Partner in the firm. When Spaulding & Slye was acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), he was named International Director and Managing Director of JLL’s Government Investor Services group. The depth and breadth of Joe’s government deal experience is greater than any other broker in the business.
    He earned his B.A. in Political Science at Tufts University and later his MBA in Finance and Urban Development at George Washington University.

    As Principal and Director of Development, Ben actively manages the firm’s principal development projects and third-party construction management engagements and is responsible for the development strategy, financial structuring, and active management of all projects in his portfolio. Ben has played an integral role in several of the firm’s specialized, mission-critical projects across the country, including facilities for the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ben is an industry veteran and brings extensive development and construction management experience to the firm’s development platform. His experience in the construction and development arena for specialized government-leased facilities, high-security federal facilities, data centers, and urban office space is a vital asset to the firm, as he has managed base building and tenant improvements for nearly 3 million square feet totaling more than $800 million.

     

    Ben earned his B.S. from North Carolina State University. He currently resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, surfing, traveling and spending time with his family

As the former Commissioner for the United States General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Norman led the asset management, design, construction, leasing, building management, and disposal of nearly 374 million square feet of government-owned and leased space across all 50 states, six U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia. He has a distinguished history working in both the private sector and as a government executive. Norm earned his B.A. in History at Yale University and later his MPP from Harvard University. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Federal Real Property Association and the National Federal Development Association.

Before that, he held multiple roles as a finance and accounting analyst Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. He has spent the last four years in commercial real estate and brings valuable experience in finance, accounting, and asset management. Austin earned his B.A. in Economics from Cornell University, where he was a member of the varsity rowing team.

    As Principal and Director of Brokerage, Chad spearheads the firm’s landlord advisory practice, focusing on highly-complex government real estate transactions in the Washington, DC, region and across the country. He has spent more than 15 years in the government real estate sector, beginning his career with the U.S. Department of Justice facilities team and then co-leading regional GSA National Brokerage Contract teams at JLL and CBRE before joining FD Stonewater. He is an expert in federal real estate policy, processes, and evaluation practices and provides strategic guidance to our clients in the pursuit of government lease transactions and investments.  Chad has earned CoStar Power Broker honors and was recognized as the Top Regional GSA Leasing Agent at the 2019 CREBA Awards.

She brings over 15 years of extensive development experience overseeing all aspects of the development process for mixed-use, residential, office, retail and hotel projects in urban environments having managed new construction, base building renovations and tenant improvements of more than 3 million square feet of space in excess of $750 million.

    Heather earned her B.B.A in Finance and Marketing from George Washington University and her M.S. in Real Estate from the Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development at the University of Maryland. She is the President of the African American Real Estate Professionals DC (AAREP DC) and serves as a Director on the Board of the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA).

Nick supports the firm’s business development efforts by identifying opportunities across business practices through research and data analysis.
    Nick earned his B.A. in English and Comparative Literature from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and enjoys running, live music, and coaching his three children’s soccer teams.

Prior to joining FD Stonewater’s development team, Mike was a Project Manager for the firm’s residential real estate investment venture focused on high-end residential real estate opportunities in the Northern Virginia market. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, he managed high volume residential community projects for NVR Inc., one of the nation’s largest home builders, and Evergreene Homes, a prominent regional builder.

    Mike earned a B.S. in Management and Finance from Salisbury University. He is an avid boater, meat smoker, hockey player and tortured DC sports fan. Mike lives in Alexandria VA with his wife and daughter who keeps him busy with dance, piano, and youth sports.

    He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a minor in Management Information Systems and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Daniel is fluent in Korean and has a personal goal of traveling to all seven natural wonders of the world.

    As an Associate at FD Stonewater, Katherine is responsible for all research and data management efforts across the firm’s multiple platforms. Her primary focus is conducting market research and tracking deals in the market while maintaining current, real-time reports and data to support the firm’s leasing and development efforts in the government real estate arena. She has been instrumental in developing internal tracking systems to streamline the leasing pursuit process and leveraging industry tools and deal sourcing platforms. Katherine is responsible for tracking and vetting potential federal and state government deals across the country and also provides support during the proposal production process.
    She earned her B.S. in Economics from the College of Charleston. Katherine studied and lived in China for 6 months and can order bubble tea in Chinese.

Stephen earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Georgetown University in finance and real estate.

    Richard is a founding partner of FD Stonewater and brings over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate. He is charged with strategic and transactional leadership for many of the firm’s development, investment, and brokerage projects. His vast experience is utilized in a wide range of capacities, including Federal Government development, leasing, and investment pursuits, as well as in the structuring, acquisition, and capitalization of many of the firm’s investment and development projects. Richard is a recognized leader in the Federal Government real estate arena who brings invaluable insight into the process, politics, and strategy of federal real estate transactions. Much of Richard’s experience involves the new development of complex secure facilities to house members of the U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense. He has completed over 500 transactions totaling more than 16 million square feet. Richard earned his B.S. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He has the last 10 years in development and has managed a variety of high-profile projects. Most recently, he served as Senior Project Manager at KGO Project Management, where he was directly responsible for the management and coordination of projects totaling over 1 million square feet and valued at more than $200 million.

     

    André earned his B.S. in Architecture from Howard University and later his Master’s in Real Estate from the University of Maryland. He enjoys traveling and photography and is actively involved in the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP). Originally from Barbados, André spends most of his time convincing everyone that they need to visit.

She has dual citizenship in the United Kingdom and the United States and enjoys videography and traveling.

She is skilled in business development strategy and tactics, communications, proposal and event management, brand management, and public relations.
    Kathryn earned a B.S. in Business Administration (Management) from Bucknell University, where she played Division I women’s basketball. Kathryn has volunteered her time and talent to coach high school girls’ basketball in Northern Virginia as well as local Boys & Girls Clubs teams and enjoys sharing her love of the game with young players.

She has over 20 years of accounting experience, last serving as the Controller/CFO of a mid-sized real estate development and management company. Prior to that, she was the Director of Accounting, Worldwide Operations for Feld Entertainment, the world’s largest live family entertainment company.
    Rita earned her B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and later her MBA from Virginia Tech. She enjoys traveling and supporting disaster relief, world food, and veteran’s association charities.

    Dyer earned his B.A. in History from the University of Georgia. He has been actively involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America and lives in Bethesda, Md with his wife and daughter.

While at FD Stonewater, he has been directly involved in over 5 million square feet of investments around the country, totaling over $700 million in value. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Andrew worked as a broker at Spaulding & Slye (acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle), and then went on to co-found Jabber Five, a real estate investment company based in Baltimore. He has spent his entire professional career in the commercial real estate investment and advisory arenas where he brings over 15 years of experience. Andrew earned his B.S. in Marketing from the University of Maryland where he was a four-year letterman on the varsity lacrosse team. Later, he earned his M.S. in Real Estate Finance from John Hopkins University. Andrew resides in Washington, DC, where he enjoys adventuring with his wife and two daughters and live music.

    As the firm’s Office and Operation Manager, Todd is responsible for managing the daily operations and activities as well as ensuring the efficiency of internal teams such as IT, human resources, and accounts payable. He also supports new business pursuits and marketing initiatives across all platforms. In addition, he loves collecting art. He has over 20 years of administrative, operations, and management experience spending nearly his entire career in the commercial real estate industry, and has partnered with some of the industry’s most successful brokerage and leasing teams. Todd earned his B.A. Communication Studies from Penn State University and loves going to the gym, exploring new restaurants, watching all kinds of films, and traveling.

In his free time, Will enjoys spending time with his family and friends and cheering on D.C.’s professional sports teams.

Harmony has spent more than a decade in the commercial real estate industry and is proficient in all facets of commercial real estate contracts and agreements. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, she was a partner with Kutak Rock in their real estate practice. Before that, Harmony was a real estate associate at Perkins Coie. She earned her B.F.A in Art History from the University of Kansas, M.A. in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University, and her J.D. from Arizona State University’s College of Law.

Eugene spent time at GSA as both a GSA Leasing Specialist for the National Capital Region and as a GSA Asset Manager for GSA Region 9. Eugene left the government to focus on representing landlords. Prior to joining FD Stonewater in 2012, Eugene lead the federal real estate brokerage practices at both Transwestern and Lincoln Property Company.
    Eugene earned his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Boston University and his MBA in Real Estate and Urban Development from American University. He lives with his family in Alexandria, VA where he enjoys golfing and boating.

Prior to joining the firm, Bucky worked with JLL’s Tenant Representation Brokerage group, where he was responsible for identifying and prospecting new business opportunities.
    Bucky earned his B.S. in Business Administration from High Point University where he played Division 1 men’s lacrosse. Bucky volunteers his time coaching youth lacrosse in Northern Virginia and as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

    Leigh Anna Sotdorus joins FD Stonewater’s leasing platform as a Vice President of Leasing. She comes to FD Stonewater from CBRE, where she was a Senior Transaction Manager for CBRE’s broker contracts with the General Services Administration (GSA). Leigh Anna also participated on the National Broker Contracts and Government Lease Services contract with the GSA. During her decade-long tenure, Leigh Anna worked on over 145 federal transactions comprising more than 4 million square feet. She was responsible for the lease procurement process, from requirements development through lease award, and worked closely with GSA contracting officers and tenant agencies. Leigh Anna was also a co-manager for Operational Excellence on the team and a Regional Lead in Regions 3 and 5. Leigh Anna’s prior experience includes marketing and underwriting acquisition and development projects to seek and compete financing opportunities. She brings a tremendous level of expertise to our owner representative/advisory leasing platform and will be instrumental in advising our clients in government leasing scenarios.

    Dave is a founding partner and brings over 25 years of real estate experience in both principal/ownership and advisory capacities, spending time at Citigroup and Eastdil before co-founding FD Stonewater. He co-leads the firm’s investment and asset management platforms and has participated in more than $3 billion of acquisitions, strategic advisory, and investment banking transactions throughout his career. Dave holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Carleton College. He serves on the board of the GiveLove non-profit, organizes a local adult soccer group and an annual fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity in his hometown, plays in the world’s largest trivia contest in April each year, and attends as many Green Bay Packer games as his wife and daughter will allow.

    Jeff is a founding partner and a leader in the firm’s investment and asset management platforms. He has an extensive background in principal investing, fund management, asset management, real estate investment banking, and capital markets. Jeff focuses his entrepreneurial energies on creating value from every angle of a transaction, including property operations, leasing, portfolio risk management, and capital markets execution. He is a recognized expert in managing complicated real estate investments and successfully structuring complex deals. With over 25 years of experience, Jeff has completed over $8 billion of acquisitions, direct sales, and financings. He has also managed three principal investment funds and three joint ventures through which he acquired and managed more than $1 billion of office, industrial, retail, and hospitality properties.

     

     Jeff earned his B.A. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Michigan.  Jeff is married with three boys and an English Golden Retriever. He is an avid baseball coach and has a son currently pitching for D1 baseball program Wagner College in NY.

    As the Director of Investor Relations, Adnan is instrumental in growing the firm’s capital raising platform and providing the highest level of client service. He identifies prospective investors, focusing on institutional partners, for the firm’s investment platform. Additionally, Adnan develops and executes marketing and sales strategies and manages investor outreach. Prior to joining the firm, Adnan was an Executive Director at Sterling Capital Management LLC and an Associate at Pacific Investment Management Company LLC, where he worked with institutional clients and consultants to formulate investment solutions. Adnan received his B.S. in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his M.Ed. from Harvard University. He holds the Charted Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designations.

    Arthur is a resourceful and proactive accounting professional with over seven years of experience in the hospitality and real estate industry. He is skilled and proficient in a wide range of accounting/financial functions, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) guidelines, journal entry preparations, general ledger, payroll reconciliations, budgeting, and financial statement preparation and reporting. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, Arthur was a Property Accountant with Bozzuto Management.
    He earned his B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University. Arthur is an avid cyclist and cycles to raise money for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society annually.

    Claiborne is a founding partner and serves as the head of development and construction management at FD Stonewater. He is responsible for establishing development platform strategy, financial structuring, and business development initiatives for federal, state, and local government development opportunities. He manages all principal-owned development projects and third-party construction management projects in the firm’s growing portfolio. Claiborne has led the completion of several high profile, mission-critical projects for Federal Government agencies across the country including the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Claiborne earned his A.A. in Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    As Director of Supply Chain Logistics at FD Stonewater, Marty is focused on implementing successful end-to-end real estate solutions in the ever-changing manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain environment. With more than 20 years of experience in the international maritime shipping, intermodal, and logistics industry, Marty has held positions in terminal network operations and most recently directed the largest privately owned container terminal in the western hemisphere as Chief Operations Officer for APM Terminals in the Port of Los Angeles. Marty has also managed intermodal network design to reduce transit times and optimize supply chain efficiency and has considerable experience implementing lean process improvement management systems within large operating groups to create innovative environments that improve safety and maximize value. More recently, Marty has focused his career on the implementation of large-scale industrial automation to improve safety, increase efficiency, and employ data to expand value-added services. At FD Stonewater, Marty will support clients as they adapt to the evolving manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain environment.

     

    Marty is a U.S. Army veteran and earned an undergraduate degree and MBA from the University of La Verne, California, an M.S. in intermodal logistics from the University of Denver, and he completed an executive management development program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
