FD Stonewater is providing third-party construction management services on behalf of ownership for the redevelopment of two existing buildings in Bethesda, MD. The project consists of renovating and restacking over 500,000 SF for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to house various tenants of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). An agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the NIH is one of the world’s leading medical research centers, serving as the federal focal point for health and medical research. The renovations and expansions will include new office space, support space, common areas within suites, conference center, NIH-provided amenities such as fitness center and cafeteria, as well as space to accommodate telecommunication needs. The project will meet Level III federal security standards and will be designed with sustainable practices to achieve LEED certification.
