Cameron Parish Recreational Facility
Cameron, LA
40,000 SF
FD Stonewater is the developer for this 40,000 SF mixed-use recreational facility for Cameron Parish on behalf of Venture Global LNG. Located in a hurricane-prone area on the Gulf of Mexico, the new facility requires specialized hurricane protection components such as impact resistant glass, elevated construction, hurricane shutters, and high wind roof assemblies. Due to poor soil conditions, the foundation necessitated deep piles. The development and construction team provided a solution by utilizing helical piles which allow for a faster execution, a lower carbon footprint, and lower cost. Additionally, the site presented soil stabilization challenges which were solved by a combination of soil cement application, bridging, and perimeter stabilization. FD Stonewater is partnering with Energy Architecture and Harvey-Cleary Builders as well as local subcontractors and vendors.
