Following an intensely competitive bid process, FD Stonewater was awarded this 20-year lease contract and development and ownership rights to this 34,277 SF build-to-suit laboratory for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Houston, TX. The CBP Southwest Science Center is an innovative, efficient, and contemporary laboratory facility that reflects the needs and objectives of the program it houses. Through careful research and analysis of the proposed site, program elements, and requirements provided by the GSA, FD Stonewater was able to develop and deliver a project that exceeded the expectations of its users. The complexity of the project required the FD Stonewater team to coordinate an economically viable solution that also fully met the technical needs of this unique government tenant.
